FAQs
is this safe for my baby?
Ultrasounds are a routine part of a pregnancy and expecting mothers can do anywhere from 2-6 ultrasound scans during this time. The technology (and the risks) are essentially no different to the routine scans that are done every few weeks. The only difference with a 3D ultrasound is that we are able to get a live look inside the womb, as opposed to a two-dimensional picture.
What is an ultrasound and can my baby feel it?
An ultrasound sends out high-frequency waves towards an object and those waves are then bounced back at the machine. The machine then uses these waves and converts that into an image. Since they are high-frequency waves, they cannot be heard by human ears, they are generally considered safe for the baby.
when is the best time to see my baby?
The best time to see your little one before they arrive is between 26-32 weeks of your pregnancy. This is when the baby’s features are more developed and you can get a clearer image.
